A judge has postponed a court hearing for the man charged in the Colorado movie theater killings after his attorneys said he was taken to a hospital for unspecified reasons.
CENTENNIAL, Colo. (AP) - Court documents filed Wednesday said James Holmes' condition rendered him unable to be present for a hearing that had been scheduled for Thursday.
Holmes' attorneys declined to give details on his condition at an emergency hearing on the request to delay the court date. But defense attorney Tamara Brady said it wasn't something that would be resolved by Thursday.
The judge said that was enough information for him, and he granted the delay.
Holmes is charged with killing 12 people and injuring at least 58 others by opening fire in a crowded theater July 20.
