Senator Johanns emphasizes: the fiscal cliff is real.

The combination of tax hikes and deep budget cuts that will occur at the beginning of the new year if Congress doesn't act. Johanns says even though Nebraska has a strong state economy, it won't escape the consequences.

Johanns says every taxpayer will feel the effect, because the taxes set to expire cut across the board.
