A suspect believed to have fired a gun inside a southeast Nebraska house while his family was inside has turned himself in to authorities.
BEATRICE, Neb. (AP) - A suspect believed to have fired a gun inside a southeast Nebraska house while his family was inside has turned himself in to authorities.
Gage County Attorney Roger Harris says 43-year-old William Price, of rural Cortland, turned himself in to the Gage County Sheriff's office in Beatrice around 11:30 a.m. Tuesday.
Authorities were called to the house south of town around 7 p.m. Friday, after Price's wife told authorities that he had brandished a gun. Price's wife, three children and two family friends escaped. Price left the house before police arrived.
Authorities estimate that Price fired 20 to 30 shots inside the home.
KWBE-AM in Beatrice says Price is charged in an arrest warrant with making terroristic threats and two weapons counts.
