Many folks in Nebraska had a problem this morning with pants feeling a bit snug around the middle. All those buffet dinners and sweet treats caused weight gain according to nutrition expert Dr. Karen Ensle.

Dr. Karen Ensle, nutrition expert; "it back off."

Dr. Ensle says for those wanting to lose that holiday weight gain it is best to take it off slowly otherwise it will just come back. Stick to three meals a day and don't skip breakfast.

Gyms and weight loss centers are flooded with folks wanting to take off those holiday pounds. Nutrition expert Dr. Karen Ensle says for those wanting to lose the weight quickly, think again.

Ensle; "super hungry."

Dr. Ensle says if that happens overeating on anything you can get your hands on is common. She says take it slow and stick to it and you will succeed.

Many Nebraskans ate their way through the holiday season that resulted in loosening the belt a notch or two. Nutrition expert Dr. Karen Ensle says if you fell off the diet wagon it is time to climb back on.

Ensle; "calories a day."

Dr. Ensle says pick a diet plan that you can follow and then take it slow. Those who lose weight rapidly often put it right back on... plus a few more pounds.
