The governor will propose to increase state funding to the four campuses of the University of Nebraska from the current level of 498-Million dollars to 541-Million in the next budget. The governor proposes an increase from 45-and-a-half million dollars for the Nebraska State College System to 49-point-6 Million dollars.
The legislative session begins Wednesday.

College kids in Nebraska will get a break the next couple of years.
The four-year public colleges in the state have agreed to freeze tuition for the next two years. In exchange, they will receive increased state funding.
