Deb Fischer, U-S Senator; "not do well."

Senator Fischer says he was not able to address several issues or answer several questions. She says because of the poor job he did during the confirmation hearing and with private conversations with Hagel, she felt she could not in good conscience recommend he be confirmed.

Nebraska U-S Senator Deb Fischer was one of 41 U-S Senators who voted against the confirmation of now U-S Defense Secretary Chuck Hagel. Senator Fischer says his performance in front of the Senate Armed Services Committee was poor.

Fischer; "be confirmed."

The final vote Tuesday was 58 to 41 with four Republicans voting for Hagel's nomination. Hagel was sworn in this morning.
