LINCOLN, Neb. (AP) - A basement fire has forced residents to flee their home in Lincoln.
Lincoln television station KLKN reports (http://bit.ly/W0HXde ) that the fire was reported a little before 1 a.m. Monday. Smoke was pouring from the basement by the time firefighters arrived.
Battalion Chief Derald Murrell says a resident had closed the door to the basement bedroom, which kept damage down elsewhere in the house.
No injuries have been reported. The fire cause is being investigated.
