Authorities are releasing more information about the incident in Valentine where two people were shot to death, one of them by a police officer. Matt Kelley reports:

Police were called to the home just before midnight Tuesday to investigate a report of shots fired. When they arrived, a man identified as 47-year-old Alvin "Billy" Clark confronted officers and one of them fired, killing Clark. Inside, officers found the body of 54-year-old Rick Homan, who'd been shot to death, allegedly by Clark. Another man, 76-year-old John Malone, also of Valentine, was wounded. A relative of Homan, who lived next door to where the shootings happened, says Clark was -quote- "off his medications" and "not in his right frame of mind." The Nebraska State Patrol is investigating the shootings.
