Chef Lalanne and Josh talk about a recent culinary experience Josh had with some ingredients that surprised him. Josh also speaks with Sharon Ott with the Gift of Hope Cancer Foundation about the foundation, the services they provide, and their upcoming annual fundraiser.

The Gift of Hope Cancer Foundation was created in 2000 to help local people struggling with the expenses of a cancer diagnosis.  The foundation helps people pay for transportation and many other peripheral costs associated with being treated for cancer.  The foundation is also in the process of raising money to build a Gift of Hope House that will be used to further the foundation's mission of helping cancer patients.

The annual Gift of Hope fundraiser is being held on Saturday, June 2, at the Scout's Rest Ranch in North Platte.  There will be a prime rib dinner (along with many other items), a silent auction, and a live auction.  ALL proceeds raised through the Gift of Hope Foundation go directly to client services (NO administrative costs associated).

Tickets for the event can be picked up at Nebraskaland National Bank in North Platte, or by contacting Sharon Ott at 308.289.2161.
