Chef Lalanne and Josh discuss pork. All things pork. Josh also speaks with Rick Bourque with the Keith County Fireworks Committee regarding this year's much-anticipated show, funding, and more.

Pork.  Pork and apples.  Pork and apricots.  Pork and pineapple.  Barbecued pork.  Braised pork.  Pork belly.  Pork loin.  Pork chops.  Bacon.  Hog roast.  All things pork were discussed this morning.

Rick Bourque, with the Keith County Fireworks Committee, also joined us this morning to talk about this year's fireworks display in Ogallala for the Fourth of July.  Rick explains the process of putting together a large display, the pyrotechnics, the music, the preparation, and the funding situation.  This year's theme is "American Summer".  We will be broadcasting, per usual, the soundtrack to the display on Hot Country 106.5.  The display begins at 9:30pm on July 4th at the Western Diamonds Baseball fields on the north side of Ogallala.  Contact the Chamber of Commerce for information regarding shuttles and more.

The display depends on donations from the public.  If you see a fireman's boot being passed around at an event you're attending (including the fireworks show), it is likely to raise money for the show.  Drop in a dollar.  Or drop off some money or mail a check to the Ogallala Fire Hall or Ogallala/Keith County Chamber of Commerce.
